Dear Family of Mary!

Today I want to share a "Praise Report" from one of our shipmates, Barb from Michigan.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2015 during the Daily Rosary I felt inspired to encourage everyone to "believe in the power of prayer" as Our Lady had encouraged us in her May 25, 2015 message:

"Dear children! Also today I am with you and with joy I call all of you: pray and believe in the power of prayer. Open your hearts, little children, so that God may fill you with His love and you will be a joy to others. Your witness will be powerful and everything you do will be interwoven with God's tenderness. I am with you and I pray for you and your conversion until you put God in the first place. Thank you for having responded to my call."

During that rosary (which you can view on our home page in the "Daily Rosary - Past Seven Days" window, 060315-Rosary) I felt that many of us who carry heavy burdens for our families should pray with great faith, because God is going to answer our prayers. It may seem that He isn't listening, but He is. I encouraged everyone to pray Fr. Hampsch's prayer for Healing of the Family. (See Attached) Denis chimed in (I think he was inspired!)and mentioned Barb and her family by name. He knows the difficult challenges they have faced.

Well, that night Denis received some wonderful news from Barb. She has been accompanying her son, Gabe, in a very long ordeal which involved legal proceedings against him. It has gone on for years. Barb has prayed with us on the Daily Rosary during this long struggle. She never gave up, never stopped praying, never stopped trusting in the Lord and Our Lady, no matter what.  And here is what she wrote to us Wednesday night:

Dear Denis and Cathy.  My son was found not guilty today before a jury of twelve people. His girlfriend also, not guilty. We sat in the hall of the county building while the jury deliberated and said a rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet and the St. Michael chaplet. I told Gabe and Kirsten that the jury would find them not guilty during the hour of mercy. This is what happened.

At 3:15 the jury made their decision. These two kids are fallen away Catholics. It was beautiful to hear them pray the rosary and chaplets from the heart, begging God for Mercy. I also lead them in the "Jesus I surrender it all to You, You take care of it."  He did. Praise God and thanks for the prayers. God bless you. I will sail with you tonight on the archives.  Barb

PS. I promised Our Lady that I would get my son Gabriel to Medjugorje if he was set free. So, I don't know how but I will get him there. I would love to have him go with Mike Nolan as Gabe is a fantastic guitarist and writes his own songs. But more so, I think Mike would be such an awesome witness to Gabe.  Love that Mike.

PPS. I wanted to tell you as we prayed out loud, all of those prayers, I kept thinking of Our Lady's latest message and not being afraid to witness. We were in a public place with the lawyers, policemen, bailiff, and all kinds of people walking past us. We noticed at about 3pm that  something very tangible happened...something heavy lifted. What a witness to Gabe and Kirsten of the power of prayer.  I just talked to them and they mentioned again that they both felt something incredible happen with the prayers.  I held up the rosary to them when we started and I heard Denis saying, "One rosary alone will work miracles in the world and in your life."  So I said it and Kirsten said, "Awhhh",  and I said, "Our Lady said this in Medjugorje." I felt Our Lady with me all day...her love. Lots of tears. Thank God, it is all over and Jesus did take care of it. Feel free to use our names. We would like to tell it from the mountain top. Sorry this took so long to send.

Praise the Lord! Thank you for sharing this wonderful answer to prayer, Barb!  What a confirmation this is for us as we pray for our families. Our Lady's message was fulfilled for Barb! We will see our own confirmations as we continue to pray. Our Lady is encouraging us to pray with deep faith and expectation. God is listening. He is close to us in these days and He is listening to our every prayer.

"Dear children! Also today I am with you and with joy I call all of you: pray and believe in the power of prayer."

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. Let's really exercise our faith in prayer as we intercede for Pope Francis' trip to Bosnia Hercegovina on Saturday, June 6. May his mission be a great success! May He build hope and peace amongst the peoples of that country. And may Our Lady be allowed by the Lord to greet him, somehow, someway while he is there.
