34th Anniversary of Our Lady's first appearance in Medjugorje
Dear Family of Mary!
On
the 34th Anniversary of Our Lady's coming to Medjugorje, we at Mary TV
are filled with gratitude and wonder at all that Our Lady has done for
the world through Medjugorje. Every day we stream live from Medjugorje
the Evening Rosary, the English Mass, Silent Prayer and other events. So
much grace comes through these simple presentations of daily life in
Medjugorje!! And we are only scratching the surface.
Fr.
Glenn Sudano, FFR, whose testimony on Fruit of Medjugorje aired on June
22, captured the awe and wonder of Our Lady's presence in Medjugorje in
this way:
"I
see Medjugorje like when a person has blood problems and they need
dialysis [to purify their blood], and I see Medjugorje as this kind of
place of purification of souls, because in Europe and the United States
and other western countries in the past 30 years, the faith has been
going down. But people have been going to Medjugorje, like to the
dialysis machine, as the blood of the Body of Christ, going there and
coming back refreshed and purified and they are renewing the
body....they come back with new faith, converted.
"The
question is 'What would the world be like as this faith is declining
without Medjugorje over the past 34 years?' We wouldn't have the
vocations we have in our community without Medjugorje. There would be no
Mary's Meals, this [Mary TV] would not be here, and there would be some
religious communities that would not exist. How many religious and
priestly vocations have come through Medjugorje? How many new
initiatives? The list is very, very long. So if we think things are bad
in the Church right now, one can only imagine what it would be like if
34 years ago nothing happened on June 24th. So it makes a whole lot of
sense that this is so important for the world. People come here and are
renewed, refreshed, and they bring the Gospel back in themselves and
renew the faith throughout the world!"

We can only stand in awe at God's gracious mercy to us through Mary.
Today, as we remember Our Lady's first appearance on Apparition Hill,
let us be filled with great comfort and consolation. Our Mother is with
us. She is not going to leave us. She is calling us to surrender to her,
and through her to Jesus. We are in very good hands in these days.

time (10:00 am EDT) today, and Silent Prayer returns at 3:00 pm
Medjugorje time (9:00 am EDT).
