Every year since, 1988, when Our Lady appeared on Thanksgiving Day in the Field at Caritas, a married couple with friends flee New Orleans on Fat Tuesday, the day before Lent begins. Like clockwork, they travel to Alabama, telling us they cannot stand being in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. They tell us, "The depravity and demonic spirit of evil is so strong and pervasive, we literally flee New Orleans, from this event." Is it sinful to say that New Orleans has lost its protection from God? Is it judgemental?  - A Friend of Medjugorje

We offer to you some solid direction. Our Lady of Medjugorje said on February 20, 1985:

“I give you advice;try to go beyond, and to reject every vice from your heart. Find out which are the vices that you most need to reject. During this Lent, you should try and truly desire to spend it in love. Strive as much as possible…”

One of the most powerful and moving writings available on the Medjugorje messages isWhy So Many Disasters? by a Friend of Medjugorje.  We offer this free download to you for your reflection, and from there, a change of life. Do not enter into this small book without prayer in order to read it in the proper spirit. Our Lady said:

June 16, 1983
“Do not concern yourself too much with the things of this world, but entrust all that in prayer to Our Heavenly Father. If one is very preoccupied, he will not be able to pray well because internal serenity is lacking.

Thus with inner serenity, you might find the path to truth and peace.
