Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children, with a motherly love I desire to help you for your life of prayer and penance to be a sincere attempt of drawing closer to my Son and His divine light - that you may know how to separate yourselves from sin. Every prayer, every Mass and every fasting is an attempt of drawing closer to my Son, a reminder of His glory and a refuge from sin - it is a way to a renewed union of the good Father and His children. Therefore, my dear children, with hearts open and full of love, cry out the name of the Heavenly Father that He may illuminate you with the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit you will become a spring of God's love. All those who do not know my Son, all those thirsting for the love and peace of my Son, will drink from this spring. Thank you. Pray for your shepherds. I pray for them and I desire that they may always feel the blessing of my motherly hands and the support of my motherly heart." (April 2, 2014)

"Therefore, my dear children, with hearts open and full of love, cry out the name of the Heavenly Father that He may illuminate you with the Holy Spirit..."

Our Lady is teaching us how to pray like she prays. As we struggle to draw closer and closer to Jesus, our hearts should erupt with just such a prayer as she describes. It is a cry from the heart, full and unfettered. It is a cry that issues from a deep thirst for God, a desire for His love that is unquenchable. It is a cry for the Father that Jesus, himself, taught us... "Our Father, Who art in heaven! Hallowed be Thy Name!"

I came across a prayer written by St. Faustina in her diary. It is just such a cry to the Father!

Eternal Love, Depth of Mercy, O Triune Holiness, yet One God, whose bosom is full of love for all, as a good Father You scorn no one. O Love of God, Living Fountain, pour Yourself out upon us, Your unworthy creatures. May our misery not hold back the torrents of Your love, for indeed, there is no limit to Your mercy. (1307)

As we draw near to Holy Week, may our hearts cry out with openness and love to the Heavenly Father. May our desire for union with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit grow each day, fed by the incredible love that is being poured out upon us through the Heart of Jesus. May we be illuminated by the Holy Spirit and cry out, "Abba, Father!"

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
