Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Love is bringing me to you - the love which I desire to teach you also - real love; the love which my Son showed you when He died on the Cross out of love for you; the love which is always ready to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. How great is your love? My Motherly heart is sorrowful as it searches for love in your hearts. You are not ready to submit your will to God's will out of love. You cannot help me to have those who have not come to know God's love to come to know it, because you do not have real love. Consecrate your hearts to me and I will lead you. I will teach you to forgive, to love your enemies and to live according to my Son. Do not be afraid for yourselves. In afflictions my Son does not forget those who love. I will be beside you. I will implore the Heavenly Father for the light of eternal truth and love to illuminate you. Pray for your shepherds so that through your fasting and prayer they can lead you in love. Thank you." (February 2, 2013)

We will continue with another segment of the talk by Fr. Slavko Barbaric to pilgrims in 1997. He speaks now about Our Lady's intention for unbelievers, given through Mirjana.  The similarities between Father's words and the message of February 2, 2013 are amazing.  Father Slavko truly understood Our Lady's intentions!  Father Slavko:

Now a very important intention of Our Lady is prayer for unbelievers. Since August 2, 1987, she has been praying with Mirjana for this intention. It is private prayer, like a locution. They were praying like the Rosary, but without the Hail Mary. The shortest prayer was 5 minutes, the longest was 4 hours....

Do not forget this intention. I expect you know what it means. Unbelievers in the messages of Our Lady are not people who do not know about God (knowledge). Unbelievers are those who do not have an experience of the love of God. This is at the level of the heart. Because here in the head, there is no problem with knowledge. We know everything. I mean, what we should do. If you know the Ten Commandments, you know how to deal with everything, your life with God, with yourself, with other people. If you have forgotten the Ten Commandments, perhaps you haven't forgotten two - Love God and Love others as yourself. And if you forget these two, there is something in every human heart, something we cannot forget, we do not lose - Do for others what you are expecting the others to do for you. Or do not do to others what you do not want the others to do to you. So we know it!

But this is not a problem for our times only, St. James had the same problem. Because He wrote, "Brothers, Satan too knows that God exists." And he knows better than we do. But what does it mean? We all know what we should do as Christians, but what does it mean for many of us? More or less, nothing.

Now experience of love,  God's love, is the key for everything. For example, for prayer...We are used to prayer time, only a minimum. Many people do not pray at all (absolutely). Or in the evening they make the Sign of the Cross and some small prayer, sometimes when they eat, but no more. And if you ask them do you pray, they say, "No time." But really time is no problem. The key for the time is love. Prayer is a meeting with God. You meet those you love, and you have time for them, yes? And I say, one day, imagine, God says, "My poor Catholic children never have time for me. So it means that I didn't create the time. So imagine, God says, "Ok, I will create a day with 26 hours." Does this mean that those poor Catholic children would take those 2 hours only for God?? Perhaps, perhaps not. But there is something for sure, he who loves God has enough time in 24 hours. He who doesn't love, even 2 hours more would not help.

How to begin? Our Lady has the answer. She began to pray for us. And I see the greatest grace of Medjugorje is that many people began to pray, to fast, to go to daily Mass. It is very important.

Another example...the key for confession is love. Because if you love, you can regret something. If you love somebody and you know that you wounded this person, you are sorry. If you do not love, you are even full of joy for having wounded this person. You know these situations.

And you have heard people say, "I do not know what to confess?" There are two possibilities, either these people are holy, most holy, or they do not recognize their sins. You see on which side you are...but to see our sins we have to love. To say "I am sorry", I must love. Imagine you are driving a car and you see an accident. You look at your watch and say there is not time to stop and see if I can help. You come home, and the people tell you, oh, the accident on that rode, your brother was there, or your sister, or your wife or your child. You would say, "My God...I am sorry I didn't stop."   If someone told you it was someone unknown, you would say, "Thank God I didn't stop. I don't know them...." To see our omission, our sins, we have to love. Without love we do not see.

And Our Lady is asking us in the message to be active, to see who needs our physical or our spiritual help. To see, we need love. So to be active, we need love. If you love somebody, you know immediately what he needs. Our Lady says she is tireless with us. She is not tired with us. Why because she loves us. What is making us tired, not work. The relations with our work or the people around us is making us tired, but not physically. If you love you can work, and have enough strength, the will to do it, the perseverance. If you do not love your work or the people around you, even before you start, you are tired and nervous. Symptoms of this tiredness in the world we see so easily. For example, abortion is a symptom that the world is tired of life. Divorce is a symptom of people being tired of each other, even those who promised each other to love till the end of life. Suicide, drugs, alcohol, loss of the sense for life, all symptoms of this inner tiredness.

How will we solve these problems. Pray with Our Lady for the same intention, for the experience of the love of God.  (Fr. Slavko Barbaric, "Fruit of Medjugorje, Episode 54.)

Father Slavko tells us that love is the key to understanding Our Lady's intentions and requests.  She would say the same.  "Dear children! Love is bringing me to you - the love which I desire to teach you also - real love..."    Unbelievers are those who have not experienced God's love.  We are also unbelievers when we do not live Our Lady's messages, because we too have not yet experienced God's love, and we have not learned to love.  Love is the key to everything, especially the key to understanding Our Lady's call.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
