J.M.J August 27, 2012 St. Monica Dear Family of Mary! "Dear children! Also today, with hope in the heart, I am praying for you and am thanking the Most High for every one of you who lives my messages with the heart. Give thanks to God's love that I can love and lead each of you through my Immaculate Heart also toward conversion. Open your hearts and decide for holiness, and hope will give birth to joy in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call." (August 25, 2012) Our Lady tells us to thank God and His Love because it is through that Love that she is with us, leading us and loving us. It is through her Immaculate Heart that we are being drawn towards conversion. Her Heart is the vehicle of the graces we are receiving in and through her apparitions in Medjugorje. Fr. Slavko published a book in 1994 called, Be Similar to My Heart. It is a transcription of the talks Fr. Slavko gave during his fasting retreats. It is a remarkable book, full of prayers and teachings about Mother Mary and how we can become like her. In this book Fr. Slavko includes a chaplet that I have never heard of before, A Chaplet of the Virtues of Our Lady. Before I talk too much about this message, I would like to share this chaplet with you. It really is a beautiful prayer and speaks very much to this message: A Chaplet of the Virtues of Our Lady The Apostle's Creed....I believe in God... Consecration to the Blessed Virgin: My Queen, my mother, I give myself entirely to You, and to show my devotion to You, I consecrate to You this day, my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, my whole being without reserve. Since, good mother, I am Yours, keep me, guard me, as Your property and possession. Amen. Prayer to the Holy Spirit: Come Holy Spirit, enlighten my heart to see the things that are of God: Come Holy Spirit, into my mind, that I may know the things that are of God; Come Holy Spirit, into my soul that I belong only to God; Sanctify all that I think, say and do, that all will be for the glory and honor of God. Amen Dear Mother Mary, I pray for the grace: Of the virtue of Faith --- (Our Father, Glory Be, Prayer to the Holy Spirit) Of the virtue of Hope.... Of the virtue of Love... Of the virtue of Humility... Of the virtue of Patience... Of the virtue of Perseverance.... Of the virtue of Obedience.... Heavenly Father, I thank You for Mary's presence among us during these [31] years. I thank You for all that You have given me through Her. I thank You for every word that She expressed in Your name. I thank You for all the graces, for every blessing, for every inner and outer healing that You, in the name of Your Son and through Mary's intercession, have given me. I adore and praise You along with Mary who calls upon us to convert. I ask You for the grace that I decide to convert. Send me Your Holy Spirit so that I can, through Him, open myself to prayer and that He then help me to grow in prayer. Take O Father, my heart of stone from my chest and cleanse it so that it may become a new heart. Free me, O Father, of everything that makes my heart a heart of stone. Free me from every hatred, from every jealousy, from every greed, from every obsession and dependency and from every distrust and fear. Free my heart from all wounds, from all stresses and traumas, so that my heart may be formed according to that of Your Son -- humble and mild - and formed according to that of Your servant, Mary, so that I may live with others in love and peace, and so that I may stay, along with Mary, on the path of holiness, in order that someday I may become holy as You are holy, Our Father, who lives and reigns in all eternity.
