St. Margaret of Scotland, St. Gertrude

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! I wish to call you to a living of the Holy Mass. There are many of you who have sensed the beauty of the Holy Mass, but there are also those who come unwillingly.

I have chosen you, dear children, but Jesus gives you His graces in the Mass. Therefore, consciously live the Holy Mass and let your coming to it be a joyful one. Come to it with love and make the Mass your own. Thank you for having responded to my call." (April 3, 1986)

Tomorrow, in Vienna, Our Lady's children will gather to celebrate her coming in Medjugorje for 30 years. There will be testimonies, the witness of Ivan Dragicevic, visionary, the recitation of the Holy Rosary, and Ivan's encounter with Our Lady. And as the crowning of the evening, CardinalSchönbornwill celebrate the Holy Mass and conduct Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Truly, Our Lady

would suggest that the Holy Mass is the most important moment in that entire day! She is reported to have told the young visionaries that if they had to choose between Holy Mass and an apparition with her, they should choose Holy Mass! For all these years, she has arranged her apparition to take place 20 minutes before Holy Mass begins at Saint James Church in Medjugorje, so that everyone can attend the Mass. She comes to draw everyone to her Son. And her Son, Jesus, is present during Holy Mass in His most incredible and true Presence in the Eucharist. This is where Our Lady leads us!

Tomorrow, as we join in with those present in Vienna at St. Stephen's Cathedral, we have the opportunity to pray the Holy Mass with the people there. We can also join in the Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. We won't be able to receive Holy Communion, but we can make our spiritual communion with Jesus over the internet. We can adore Him over the internet as well. We can receive many graces during these holy moments, if our hearts are disposed. It is an opportunity to be with Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Our Lady once said to us:

"Dear children! I am calling you to a more active prayer and attendance at Holy Mass. I wish your Mass to be an experience of God. I wish especially to say to the young people:  be open to the Holy Spirit because God wishes to draw you to Himself in these days when Satan is at work. Thank you for having responded to my call." (May 16, 1985)

Active prayer is prayer with the heart, prayer that anticipates grace and believes from deep within that God is real and present. This kind of active prayer will change the Holy Mass for all of us! Even a Mass over the internet can be an experience of God through active, faith-filled prayer.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for calling us to Holy Mass, to experience Your love, to receive Your forgiveness and healing, and to give thanks through You and in the power of the Holy Spirit to the Father who love us so!

In Jesus and Mary!
