Dear Family of Mary!

March 25, 2011 Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje through Marija:

"Dear children! In a special way today I desire to call you to conversion. As of today, may new life begin in your heart. Children, I desire to see your 'yes', and may your life be a joyful living of God's will at every moment of your life. In a special way today, I bless you with my motherly blessing of peace, love and unity in my heart and in the heart of my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Precious Tree of Life - I am here

This weekend Denis and I have been in Sacramento, California, attending a Marion Conference at which Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti spoke.  It has been a beautiful time of prayer and reflection. As time permits I will try to share some of the beautiful testimonies.  But today I want to share one story that Marija shared with us during her talk on Saturday, because it demonstrates so well Our Lady's call to new life in this message.

Marija shared about a doctor from Romania, actually the uncle of Melinda, the violinist who leads the music at St. James so beautifully.  Melinda's uncle was always a good Catholic, going to mass every Sunday and believing.  Melinda had invited him to come to Medjugorje, but he just didn't feel the need to go.  But finally he decided to make the trip.  During his pilgrimage he encountered the love of Our Lady and of Jesus in a personal way.  This encounter changed him.  He went back to Romania a different person.

He began to pray from the heart.  And in that prayer he began to see things he had not seen before.  He saw that in the hospital where he worked there were many abortions, sometimes 20 in one day.  The bodies of these little ones were just thrown into the trash at the hospital.  The doctor realized that these little ones deserved a burial with dignity.  So he went to the hospital administrator and asked if he could gather the bodies and provide a cemetery plot for them where they could receive a dignified burial.  The administrator said OK.  So this doctor went to a nearby cemetery to find a plot of land for their resting place.  He was shown a large area in the cemetery that he could buy.  But there was one problem.  There was a huge dead tree in the middle of it.  He was told the tree would have to be cut down.  But the doctor didn't have time to cut it down.  The babies' bodies needed to be buried.  So he began burying them, with a priest to bless them and pray for them.  To the doctor's surprise, very soon leaves began to emerge on the tree and it came back to life!  It was a sign to the doctor that what he was doing was good and would bear good fruit.

"As of today, may new life begin in your heart. Children, I desire to see your 'yes', and may your life be a joyful living of God's will at every moment of your life."

The doctor went to Medjugorje and received new life in his heart.  Now he is living God's will in a beautiful way that is bringing new life to Romania.  May we all grasp the new life we are being offered through the Gospa and bring that new life to our families, our communities and the world!
