Mary TV Daily Reflections 9/27/10

St. Vincent de Paul

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Today I am with you and bless you all with my motherly blessing of peace, and I urge you to live your life of faith even more, because you are still weak and are not humble. I urge you, little children, to speak less and to work more on your personal conversion so that your witness may be fruitful. And may your life be unceasing prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Lady uses the word urge twice in this stunningly direct message.  I looked up urge in the Webster's Dictionary, and found this meaning: "To present, advocate or demand earnestly or pressingly."  I am assuming that the Croatian word that Our Lady spoke to Marija is close to the English.  I think urge is a strong word.  It implies a pressing need.  There are probably levels of urging, from mild to very strong.  But the fact that she uses this word twice in this message, and that she speaks so directly to us tells me that she is serious.

I don't want to listen to Our Lady and be in a stupor.  We have received her messages for many years now, consistently.  Maybe we are getting a little mesmerized by her kindness and gentleness.  Maybe we are getting a little spoiled by her forbearance and patience.  Could it be that we need to wake up a little bit, and hear the urgency in her voice?

When my children were young I can remember thinking that they were so used to my voice that they just tuned me out sometimes.  I would have to call them repeatedly before they would answer me.  And if I brought up their homework, they became deaf-mutes!  Hello!!!  Are you there???  I wonder if we might be falling into that same pattern with Our Lady.  She speaks so softly and sweetly to us, and she loves us so much!  Maybe we are getting too used to her love, and we aren't hearing her voice!

Maybe we are spoiled?!?I don't mean to be critical or judgmental.  These ponderings are for me, but I share them with you in case they may be useful.  If Mother Mary is urging us, it must be important.

In Jesus and Mary!

PS.  Denis gets home tonight, and so tomorrow I will interview him about Vienna and share with you what happened there, from his point of view.  I did find out that about 26,000 computers were connected on Thursday to Mary TV, watching the evening of prayer in Vienna with the visionaries.  Wow!!!
